Rare in the UK, this South African native is an easy-to-grow but slow, an undemanding hardy succulent… its sea-green stems are deeply ridged - & become symmetrical mounds, plus you can look forward to some tiny yellow flowers in exchange for some summer watering. In case you’re peckish, best to nail a Gatsby (SA Sub - filled with chips and sauces, gross but essential) as this little delight has toxic sap. A huge fan of sun, gritty soil and a dry winter - it’s the friend you always wanted, undemanding but fun.
