Cereus forbesii cv. Spiralis
Considered by the cacti paparazzi to be ‘a bit of a looker’, this eye-catching spiral cereus has a whiff of the classic Twister Ice Lolly about it and forms numerous tall, ascending, columnar stems which branch at the base - as would a candelabra. Like Christiano Ronaldo, they have a waxy bloom on the surface and can attain a height of 2-5 metres, each approx 10/ 12cm wide. They have up to nine widely-spaced ribs. Cold intolerant, they insist upon a well drained soil mix & regular summer watering - but always allow to fully dry… Rapid growers, they need regular re-potting, light shade when young, full sun in maturity.
